Golden Rule

Never pay outside the E-DAVINCI platform. Any seller who asks you to send money via personal M-Pesa, WhatsApp, or bank transfer is committing fraud. E-DAVINCI's escrow only works when you checkout through our app or website.

Safe Payment Practices

  • Always pay through the E-DAVINCI checkout — never pay directly to a seller's personal M-Pesa or bank account.
  • Our escrow system holds your money until you confirm delivery — trust the process.
  • Never share your PIN, OTP, or bank details with anyone, including someone claiming to be E-DAVINCI support.
  • Verify your order confirmation email before making payment.

Spotting Fake Listings

  • If the price is unrealistically low (e.g. brand-new iPhone for MZN 5,000), it is likely a scam.
  • Read seller reviews and check how long the store has been active.
  • Look for the 'Verified' badge on seller profiles — it means we've confirmed their identity.
  • Be suspicious of listings with no product photos or only stock images from Google.

Account Security

  • Use a strong, unique password. A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols is best.
  • Never share your login credentials with anyone.
  • Log out from shared or public devices after use.
  • If you think your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us.

Communicating with Sellers

  • Keep all communication inside the E-DAVINCI chat system — this protects you if a dispute arises.
  • Do not send personal phone numbers or email addresses to sellers you don't know.
  • Be cautious of sellers who ask you to continue the transaction off-platform.
  • Report any threatening or harassing messages using the report button in chat.

  • No reviews or very new account
  • Photos clearly taken from another website
  • Seller asks for personal/financial details

Green Flags — Trust

  • Verified seller badge
  • 100+ reviews with high ratings
  • Store active for 1+ years
  • Detailed product descriptions and original photos
  • Responsive to chat messages
  • Clear return and delivery policy
